Mayoor School, Noida played host to the 4th Inter School Karate Championship organized by sports Karate Do Association on 29th and 30th August 2009 in the school grounds. 7 schools besides the host school and a total of 375 students participated in it.
The skin Touch championship (only Kumite) was judged by eminent personalities, President-Sports Karate-Do Association- Sanjay Sharma. Technical Chairman –Kamal Thapa and Chief Coach –Bal Krishan Gunung.
Mayoor School stood First with 10 gold medals, 14 silver medals and 15 bronze medals to its credit. The Second and Third positions were bagged by D.P.S, Noida and A.P.S, Noida respectively. The host school also received the Rolling Trophy for the excellent performance of its students.
The event was also attended by the Principal of the host school and 20 other officials of the Sports Karate Do Association.
