Synergy – The Annual Inter-School Cultural Event
Mayoor School, Noida celebrated the extravagant cultural and literary bonanza, Synergy 2010, on 2nd and 3rd December’10. Various competitions like Wonderland fiesta (Western Dance), English Debate, Turncoat, Pantomime, Ad Mad World, Gali Gali Mein Chowk Chowk Par (Street Play), Spell bee, English Recitation, Science Quiz involving students from the schools of all over Delhi and NCR were organized as a part of the mega event. SYNERGY witnessed the participation of over 1500 participants from 23 schools in 26 competitions spread over 2 days. Eminent personalities from various fields like media, education, theatre, art, music and dance etc. were invited to judge the various events.
The Valedictory Ceremony was held on 3rd December in the School Amphitheatre. Padmashree Dr. Mrs. Shayama Chona graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Prof. Yashpal was the Guest of Honour for the occasion. Vishwa Bharti bagged the Rolling Trophy by getting the maximum number of prizes in all the competitions.
In her address to the audience Mrs. Chona said that we are a great society, where one finds the rich culture of 18th century along with the advancement of the 21st century. She encouraged all the students to come out with flying colours in all aspects of life.
Prof. Yashpal, while addressing the gathering, said that wonder and curiosity are the most wonderful things and they should not be taken away from children.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by the Head Boy, Suyash Mamgain. The programme came to an end with the National Anthem.
