Visit

TOUR TO CORBETT NATIONAL PARK

Students of class III, IV and V went for an outstation trip to Corbett National Park on 20th May, 2017. In all 96 students accompanied by 11 teachers went for the trip for 3 days. All the students reported to school at 4:30am and left for Jim Corbett in 3 buses. On the way they had breakfast at Bikanerwala and reached the resort “Wild Crest” at 12:45pm. After having lunch and settling in their rooms children were all set for their activities. Children were taken to Bijrani Camp where they did activities like Burma Bridge, Flying Fox, etc. and returned back to their resort and had fun at Discotheque.

Next day all children were ready by 5am and were excited to go for Jungle Safari. All children sat in the open jeep and went for safari and were lucky enough to see an Elephant, Deers and some beautiful birds in their natural habitat. After coming back from safari they had breakfast and kids were all set for jumping into the swimming pool. Later in the afternoon children also went for Elephant Joy Ride. In the evening children went for River Excursion to the Kosi River and then had a wonderful evening at Discotheque.

On the third and the final day children were taken to Garjia Temple early in the morning at 6am. After visiting the temple they did beautiful nature track adjacent to Kosi River and also enjoyed playing in the river for some time. They also crossed Jhula Pul at Kosi River. They returned back to resort, had their breakfast, saw a documentary film on Corbett national Park, packed their luggage and were all set to come back. All of them settled in their buses, had lunch at Bikanerwala and reached back to our school at 7:45pm.

Overall the trip was fun filled and children were very happy. Most of them are waiting for the next trip.

The Boss Baby

Class II A-G (09.05.17)

Mayoor School organized a Movie watch for the students of class II. Children were very excited for the movie – The Boss Baby. The movie was in 3D which just doubled their excitement. It was a morning show, it started at 9:15 a.m. and ended at 10:45a.m. Children were severed popcorns and frooti during the movie. It was a delightful day for the students.

The students of class III went for the movie BOSS BABY on 11/5/17 at Spice Mall. 

The Boss Baby's eventual affirmation of sibling bonding was the best part of the movie. There was  plenty of frantic pacing, energy and color in the film.  Children had a fun filled and wonderful time. Later on students also shared their views about the movie with their classmates

Students of classes IV and V went to Spice Mall to watch Baahubali 2-The Conclusion, on 
15th, 16th and 17th May. The spectacular movie with stunning visuals was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.

MOVIE VIEWING by CLASS 7

On 25 April 2017, classes VI to VIII went to PVR Spice Mall to watch a movie “GHAZI ATTACK”. It was a war film based on the mysterious sinking of PNS Ghazi during the Indo Pak war of 1971. It is India’s first underwater war film. The students enjoyed the inside infrastructure of submarines on the big screen. The sense of patriotism rose among the students. All of them stood up from their seats and sang National Anthem when it was played on screen.

This underwater thriller is worth a watch. It was an enthralling experience for the students.

ASTRONOMERS OF  MAYOOR VISIT SARISKA

The astronomy club of Mayoor School , Noida which has a collaboration with Mayo College General Council, Ajmer  organized an overnight trip along with SPACE  to Astroport  in Sariska , a place situated in the lap of nature without any trace of light and air pollution from 30th March 2017 to 31st March 2017. Forty students from classes 6th to 9th who are members of the astronomy club visited the place for overnight observation of the sky along with three school teachers. They learnt many new facts about the universe like the motion of the stars and the rotation and revolution concept. They watched many constellations, located planets like Jupiter, Saturn and the Milky Way and their visibility in the sky . The students were also taught sky reading through the sky map. In the process the budding astronomers learnt the efficient handling of high end telescopes.

Overall  the trip was truly educative and provided the entire team with  a lifetime experience.

STAFF VISIT TO KINGDOM OF DREAMS

Mayoor School Noida, which has a collaboration with Mayo College General Council, Ajmer organised a fun filled trip to Kingdom of Dreams Gurgaon on 2 March, 2017 for the teaching staff of the school.

A group of 75 beautifully dressed teachers buzzing with excitement  went for the day trip. First, the teachers visited the ‘Culture Gully’ where they witnessed and enjoyed an elaborate culture, arts and crafts  boulevard which was  followed by a sumptuous meal. The mesmerizing show, Zangoora which is  a new genre of entertainment and considered as Bollywood’s biggest musical extravaganza   was enjoyed thoroughly by everyone.

The trip was very entertaining and left an everlasting impression . Everyone enjoyed it to the fullest and felt rejuvenated. The outing  proved to be an ultimate entertainment for one and all.

Visit to Mughal Garden, Rashtrapati Bhavan

To appreciate the beauty of nature, children of Mayoor School of classes V and IV visited Mughal Garden on 15/02/17 and 16/02/17 respectively.

The children were spellbound to see beautiful blooming flowers and enjoyed a lot. 

VISIT TO BROWN BAKERY

A visit to Mr. Brown, Noida was organized by Mayoor School from 6th to 9th February, 2017 for Class VI. All the sections visited the bakery with their respective class teachers.

PARLIAMENT VISIT BY CLASS VIII STUDENTS

Mayoor  School, Noida  which has a collaboration with Mayo College General Council ,Ajmer organized a visit to Parliament Museum for the students of class VIII in the first week of February  as a part of the Heritage Walk. The objective of the visit was to apprise the students about the making of the  Constitution and its agenda. Students  were also  told about the freedom fighters and their role in the freedom struggle through a documentary film. The famous speech ‘Tryst with Destiny’ by Jawahar Lal Nehru was played in a simulated Parliament Session for the students to listen and understand the significance of the speech.

HERITAGE WALK CLASS IX

“ Our Cultural and natural heritage are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration”`. The city of Delhi has a long history and today, after centuries of growth, its citizens live in an environment where new elements are juxtaposed with old ones.  The city has a rich cultural and architectural   heritage .In pursuit of this objective of apprising the students of the same , Heritage  Walk was organised for class IX to the lanes of Shahajhanabad and Ghalib Haveli to make the  lessons learnt in History interesting and livelier. It  heightened the  sensitivity of the children towards the historic value of settlements and encouraged them to conserve and preserve their own heritage and inculcate a sense of pride and appreciation among them.

HERITAGE WALK CLASS X

Mayoor School Noida, organized a heritage walk for class X students to Dargah Nizamudin Auliya, mausoleum of one of the most famous Sufi saint and Chaustha Khamba. Students were apprised about the spirituality and sanctity of Hazrat Nizamudin. Students also visited Chaustha Khambha , Mirza Ghalib’s tomb a dome built with the support of 64 pillars , a masterpiece to behold.

Heritage walk

Heritage walk to Rajghat                                        

Students of classes VIA, VIB, VIC ; VI D, VI E, VI F and  VI G, VI H, VI I went for the heritage walk to Rajghat on 2nd , 3rd and 4th November,2016, respectively, along with their class teachers and associates.They visited India Gate, The National Gandhi Museum and Gandhi Darshan showcasing the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi. Later they went to Gandhi Smriti formerly known as Birla house, which is a museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. It was a great educational trip because it made children aware of life and the principles of Mahatma Gandhi. They had a great time over there.

Heritage walk – Class V

Mayoor School Noida in collaboration with Mayo College Ajmer organised a Heritage walk for students of class v to Qutub Complex Delhi. Students were enriched with the historical background and facts of this complex and its significance. They soaked in the rich environment of different monuments in the complex and understood its architecture, a rich amalgamation of Mughal and Hindu designs. This was followed by activities of puzzle solving and a questionnaire.  The overall experience was enriching and enjoyable.

CLASS III - TRIP TO RAIL MUSEUM

The students of Class III went to the National Rail Museum on 24th November, where they saw and learnt more about the development of the Indian railways from the East India Company’s time when steam engines were used till today’s time when all the modern technology and engineering combined together gives us one of the longest railway connectivity in the world.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the ride on the joy train as well. Overall it was a good learning experience for children.

Class 4 visit to National Bal Bhavan

The students of class 4  enjoyed a trip to the National Bal Bhavan on 18th of November. The trip helped them to switch to a refreshing mode from a monotonous routine. They had a jolly train ride inside the campus which also involved a beautiful picturesque of all the Indian states followed by a visit to the Jawahar Aquarium. They also gathered information about the past from the museum and had fun with the variety of birds in the sanctuary. The students returned to school with loads of sweet memories.

Mayoor School Noida organised a Heritage Walk to Humayun’s Tomb for all the students of class fourth.

The students were eager to learn about the Heritage site. They enthusiastically listened to the brief introduction given by our guide Jaya about the Mughal period. The children even noted down some facts and figures about the life of Humayun. A handout on Humayun’s tomb was distributed among the students and a colouring competition was also held.

It was an enjoyable and informative trip for both the students and teachers.

VISIT TO BISCUIT FACTORY

Students of class V went to visit Parle Biscuit Factory, Noida. The students were divided in two groups according to the sections and went for visit on 6th and 7th October. The visit was approximately for 1  hours wherein they were shown a documentary film giving information about how the factory was started and how it has progressed till date. The children were also shown the plant and how toffees (mango bite and kismi) are manufactured.

The children were very excited and happy. They were also given Parle G biscuits and toffees.

Mayoorians Visit KidZania

Mayoor School, Noida which has a collaboration with Mayo College, Ajmer organized a visit for more than 1000 students of classes II to VI to KidZania, Noida. The children embarked on a journey of exploration and discovery in real world scenarios which is the hallmark of the global indoor interactive theme park.

The children could be seen in a variety of roles such as surgeons, dentists, firefighters, bankers, customers, etc. The auditorium had a series of shows based on dance, acting and modeling performed expertly by the little ones. Many were busy making pizzas, burgers, doughnuts, etc and they ate whatever they made. Some children learnt how to climb a building.

KidZos was the currency used by the children. A few students were busy collecting donations for charitable purposes. The combination of education and entertainment helped children develop new skills and also have a memorable time.

MAYOOR ORGANISES ADVENTURE TRIP TO JIM CORBETT

Mayoor School ,Noida which has a collaboration with Mayo College General Council, Ajmer organized an adventure trip to Jim Corbett  for the students of classes VI-VIII from 13 May 2016 to 15 May 2016.The students had a whale of a time swimming ,trekking ,caving, zipping and other adventure activities. Its gave them the courage to take up the challenges of life.     

Over a 100 Students of classes IV, V, VI and VII along with their teachers had a fun-filled outing to the Corbett National Park. The 3-day excursion from 13th  May 2016 included open jeep safari in Corbett park, a trek to the river Kosi, Rock climbing and River Crossing in the Kumeria Reserve forest, a visit to the Garjia temple, swimming in the pool and dancing at the discotheque.

Camp Anubhav organised by rocksport  was indeed an experiential learning holiday for class IV & V students. By working together in a group and individually they learnt to overcome any rock or cave that stopped them by climbing, rapelling or crawling through them. Students explored the lesser known trails and climbed rock faces. They enjoyed their stay in tents and cottages and had a balanced and healthy buffet meal. Amrit of class IV I got an award for best journal writing.

 

MAYOOR ORGANISES  ADVENTURE TRIP TO MUSSOORIE

Mayoor School ,Noida which has a collaboration with Mayo College General Council, Ajmer organized an adventure trip to Mussoorie for the  students of classes VI-VIII from 14 May 2016 to 16 May 2016. Students performed various adventurous activities like Rock Climbing, Stream Runner, Samba, Obstacle Course, Zip Line, Bridge Crossing fearlessly and with full enthusiasm. The Bonfire and DJ on the last night brought out the spirit of joy and friendship to the fore.

MAYOORIANS ATTEND STUDENT’S EXCHANGE PROGRAMME AT MAYO

Students of Class VIII of Mayoor School, Noida which has a collaboration with Mayo College General Council, Ajmer went to Mayo College Ajmer to attend a Student Exchange Programme on 9th April 2016. The students stayed in the hostel of Mayo College along with the students of that institution. Famous places like Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, Akbar’s Fort, Nareli Jain Temple, Pushkar Temple were visited which apprised the students about the rich heritage and architecture of Ajmer.

VISIT TO MUSEUM OF ART

Students of classes IV, V and VI of Mayoor School, Noida visited the  Museum of Art, Noida and viewed a vast collection of artwork from the Indian subcontinent. Children attended workshops to enhance their knowledge of different art forms. Class IV was introduced to Egyptian Art which uses hieroglyphs or pictures instead of alphabets and strange figures depicting ancient Egypt. Class V students made beautiful Warli Art drawings on kulhars or earthen pots. Students of class VI tried their hand at Madhubani painting, a traditional art form from Bihar which uses geometric shapes and vibrant colours.The workshops were interesting for the children and they participated with great enthusiasm and zeal.

TRIP TO TERI

Mayoor School, Noida which has a collaboration with Mayo College General Council organized the annual picnic for the teaching faculty to Teri Gram near Gurgaon on 19th March, 2016. The trip was quite fun filled as well as informative. 

Overall, the trip was filled with fun and excitement and strengthened the interpersonal relationships among the teachers. It was a welcome refreshing break from the routine schedule and helped the teachers to rejuvenate themselves for the next session.

TEACHER’S HERITAGE WALK 

Mayoor School, Noida which has a collaboration with Mayo College General Council, Ajmer organized a Heritage walk to Jama Masjid and Red Fort for the entire teaching faculty on 27th February 2016. It was a welcome break amidst the frenzy of conducting final exams and evaluations and all the staff members went back with renewed vigour.

Visit To WOW

Mayoor School, Noida which has a collaboration with Mayo College General Council, Ajmer organised a 
trip to Worlds of Wonder (WOW) for the students of classes X & XI on 16th February 2016. It was a 
pleasure trip and the students enjoyed it to the fullest. Worlds of Wonder is an amusement park with 
all kinds of ride that looked inviting and thrilling at the same time. The accompanying teachers also 
put their guard down and joined their students in having a relaxed time. The weather was a perfect 
blend of bright sun light and cool winter breeze.
The dare devils had fun with all varieties of roller-coasters that took them up, threw them down, 
twisted them 360o or simply let them experience speed. This outing was a welcome break for students 
gearing up for exams. It rejuvenated them and now they can go back to study with a fresh mind and get 
perfect scores in their upcoming exams. Ending the academic session on a high note was the result of 
this entertaining trip.
