Spotlight on Classroom Tradition - Mayoor School

"The mission of Mayoor School, which is the premier CBSE affiliated international school in Noida Expressway, is to create a warm and inviting environment for everyone who enters the campus. Our goal is to provide a learning atmosphere that is secure, pleasant, and loving while still being effective. It is critical to instill in pupils an understanding that there is so much more to life than the four walls of their home, school, city, state, and country.

The children at Mayoor, one of the premier schools on the Noida Expressway, are greeted right from the main gate, which is a first for the area. Everyone, from security guards to teachers to the Headmistress, Vice Principal, and Principal, is on their toes as they prepare to greet the Mayoorians. The small ones are greeted with a handshake, a high five, or a Namaste at the Pre-Primary block, and the block is full with music and laughing. When we pray, we are given the opportunity to show our thanks for the blessings we have received. Yoga and meditation are then practised afterward.

Circle time is the most important moment of the day since it is when children welcome each other and share their sentiments. Then there's the book browsing habit, in which children discuss and exchange their favourite books with their friends and other children their age. Children are encouraged to engage in outdoor activities every day in order to develop their motor abilities, body mass index, and overall health. Problem-solving skills and creativity are cultivated through outdoor play in school-aged children.

Vocabulary games are organised in order to promote and increase the development of language skills. At Mayoor, one of the finest CBSE affiliated international schools in Noida, Show and Tell and Extempore are given a lot of attention and importance. Children are provided opportunities to express themselves and the freedom to do so. It is necessary to organise cutting edge science based activities and games on a regular basis in order to prevent negative concepts from entering the minds of the children.

Various festivals and activities are held at the school to bring the students closer to one another's traditions, to foster respect and understanding for one another's customs and traditions, and to bring the kids closer to their own traditions. Festival celebrations have become a vital element of learning about and developing a strong cultural belief system. All of the actions are photographed and placed on a picture board for everyone to see.

In Mayoor, daily praising and reflection time has become something of a ritual. Sometimes the teacher compliments the kids, and other times the compliments come from their peers. It's a wonderful approach to build up students' confidence and acknowledge their efforts, as well as to let them know that you notice the little things and that they are cherished and appreciated. Sympathy, empathy, compassion, and gratitude are all taught to pupils from an early age in order to help them build their socio-emotional learning.

These modest yet important rituals will aid in the development of a sense of belonging in a community. The goal of Mayoor is to continue to grow and develop such a large community. These simple and meaningful traditions will help in building a community. The aim of Mayoor is to keep on building such a big community."
