A Multifaceted Assembly: Honouring Professionals, Promoting Democracy
The students of Classes XI G & H, conducted a thought-provoking morning assembly on the theme “Polling the Pulse of People.”
The assembly commenced with a tribute to Doctors’ Day and Chartered Accountants’ Day. This segment included insightful presentations, compelling facts, and a heartfelt poem, collectively underscoring the vital dedication and contributions of these professionals in establishing a healthy and economically robust society. Furthermore, a special token of appreciation was extended to Dr. Shruti Sneha in recognition of her committed service to the community.
The theme of polling awareness was brought to life through engaging presentations on the purpose of elections and the importance of free and fair democratic processes. Students also took a solemn pledge to uphold the values of responsible citizenship.
A major highlight of the assembly was the introduction of student council candidates, who confidently shared their vision and proposed initiatives for the school and the student body. In a first-of-its-kind initiative, students’ opinions were formally recorded after the candidates’ presentations—instilling the spirit of democracy among young learners.
The assembly also witnessed the formal welcome of the new Headmistress for classe VI - X, Ms. Ritu Sehgal, who was introduced by Principal Ms. Alka Awasthi. In her address, Ms. Sehgal encouraged students to embrace discipline, responsibility, and commitment in all spheres of school life.
In her concluding remarks, the Principal applauded the students for their commendable efforts and meaningful presentations. She underscored the power of informed voting and the importance of valuing those who serve society with honesty, dedication, and integrity.
