Mayoor School, Noida hosted its eighth Mayoor Model United Nations Conference, welcoming over 400 delegates from 48 renowned schools across India. The event, themed 'Through Knowledge, Skill and Valour,' emphasized leadership and collaboration.
Chief Guest Mr. Dennis Christian Larsen, Chief of Programme for Social and behaviour Change, UNICEF India inaugurated the conference, urging delegates to develop essential life skills. Principal Ms. Alka Awasthi highlighted the importance of such events in fostering open-mindedness and teamwork.
A cultural segment featuring instrumental music and dance captivated the audience, followed by engaging debates on various agendas. The valedictory ceremony, presided over by Ms. Zafrin Chowdhury, Chief Communication, Advocacy and Partnership, UNICEF India, emphasized MUN's role in nurturing future global leaders.
Amity International School, Mayur Vihar won the Best School Delegation trophy.
