A Tribute to Freedom: Independence Day at Mayoor School
Independence Day was celebrated at Mayoor School, Noida, in collaboration with Rotary District 3012, with immense patriotic fervour. The event was attended by dignitaries from the Rotary Club, along with school heads, faculty, parents and students.
The celebration began with a warm welcome by Vice Principal Ms. Sunita Dahiya who extended heartfelt greetings to all present and emphasised the significance of remembering the sacrifices of our freedom fighters while contributing positively to the nation’s growth.
The occasion was graced by Chief Guest DG Dr. Amita Mohindru, who delivered an inspiring address on the importance of unity. The cultural programme that followed beautifully captured the spirit of patriotism with a soulful, self-composed song, "Bandeya Re", and a captivating Kathak dance, "Swatantra Nritya", both presented by talented Mayoorians. These performances highlighted India's democratic journey and the freedom of expression. Enthusiastic presentations by Rotaractors, Interactors, and Rotarians, along with a vibrant flute and dance performance, further enriched the celebration and reflected the collaborative spirit of the day.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks extended by Rotarian Rachna Singh, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of responsibility for building a stronger, more inclusive India.
