BIS Orientation Session on Sustainability Awareness
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) conducted an engaging Orientation Session along with a Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition on the theme “Fostering Sustainability – Standards for a Greener Tomorrow.” The programme aimed to create awareness among students about sustainable living and the importance of standards in protecting the environment.
The session highlighted the need for proper plastic recycling, avoiding single-use plastics, conserving natural resources, and promoting eco-friendly products. Students from Grades IX to XII participated enthusiastically and showcased their creativity through meaningful posters and impactful slogans.
The keynote speaker,
Mr. Vishvendra Tanwar, delivered an insightful address on the role of quality standards in environmental sustainability and responsible living.
Principal Alka Awasthi appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and encouraged them to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives.
