Bridging Heritage with Innovation

An enriching workshop titled “Bridging Traditional Embroidery with Digital Design: An Introduction to Surface Embellishment and CAD Mockups” was organised for the students of Fashion Studies. The session was conducted by Ms. Meenakshi Ramchandani, Faculty at the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI).

The workshop gave students hands-on experience in traditional embroidery techniques and guided them in creating digital CAD mockups, blending heritage craftsmanship with modern design technology.

Principal Ms. Alka Awasthi emphasised that such experiential learning opportunities equip students with industry-relevant skills while encouraging them to preserve traditional craftsmanship through innovation.
