Empowering Community: A Successful POCSO Workshop
Mayoor School recently conducted a comprehensive workshop on the POCSO Act 2019 for all teaching and non-teaching staff. The workshop, led by esteemed experts Dr. Poorva Ranjan and Dr. Shalini Gautam, delved into crucial topics such as the definition of a child, the provisions of the POCSO Act, child sexual abuse, its signs, and preventive measures. The bilingual approach, using both Hindi and English, ensured maximum accessibility and understanding for all participants.
Principal Ms. Alka Awasthi reiterated that these POCSO workshops are a step towards creating a safer and more child-friendly environment in School. By equipping staff with the knowledge and tools to recognise and respond to child sexual abuse, we are taking proactive measures to protect our students. We remain committed to fostering a culture of safety and well-being for all.
