Fun with Place Value Play: A Mathematical Day at SETU
On July 22, 2025, seven enthusiastic Grade V students from Mayoor School visited SETU for an engaging session on the Importance of Place Value in Mathematics. The event featured interactive, student-led activities exploring both the Indian and International Place Value Systems. Highlights included constructing hands-on models and participating in a specially designed place value hopscotch game to enhance kinesthetic learning. The session concluded with concept-based riddles, puzzles, and flashcard games, fostering logical thinking, teamwork, and active participation.
This collaborative initiative not only deepened mathematical understanding but also promoted creativity and confidence among all participants. The visit was organised under the guidance and encouragement of the school’s Principal, Ms. Alka Awasthi, who strongly advocates for experiential and student-led learning.
