Mayo College Ajmer, one of India’s most distinguished residential schools, marked 150 years of its royal legacy, heritage, and educational excellence with a resplendent four-day celebration that drew educators, alumni, dignitaries and well-wishers from across the world. The event stood as a historic landmark, honouring the institution’s princely origins while embracing its forward-looking educational mission.

Adding distinction to the event was the presence of Ms. Alka Awasthi, Principal of Mayoor School Noida, who was invited as an esteemed guest. She engaged in warm and meaningful interactions with Maharaja Gaj Singh of the Jodhpur royal family, President of the Mayo College General Council, and HH Maharao Ijyaraj Singh of Kotah, Senior Vice Chairman of Mayoor School Noida, along with principals of other sister schools. The meeting reflected the shared ethos and enduring association between Mayo College and its affiliated institutions.

The commemorative events spanned cultural, academic, artistic, and technological showcases, illustrating the timeless yet evolving character of Mayo College. The celebrations featured an extensive Art Exhibition, the release of two commemorative Coffee Table Books chronicling the school’s artistic and historical journey, vintage car display, and student exhibition showcasing academic ingenuity, creativity, and interdisciplinary excellence. 

Cultural splendour imbued the festivities through plays presented by Junior and Senior School students, musical performances and concerts, Gala dinners and the spirited Jam session. The campus came alive in luminous grandeur during the Laser Mapping and Drone Display over the iconic Main Building, creating a breath-taking visual narration of Mayo’s 150-year journey.

The grand assemblage reaffirmed Mayo College’s distinguished place in India’s educational landscape.
