UBUNTU-"I am because we all are."
Ubuntu - Season 3, the inter school event by Mayoor Upvan, the pre primary wing, took place on 18th August 2023, aiming at promoting unity, sustainability, and collective well-being. The event saw an overwhelming participation of 33 schools from Delhi NCR as well as other states, all of which enthusiastically joined together to celebrate the spirit of cooperation and environmental consciousness.
The theme of the event revolved around the interconnectedness of all beings and the urgent need to conserve and protect our natural resources for future generations. The event began with a warm welcome by the principal, Ms. Alka Awasthi. In her inspiring opening speech, she emphasized the importance of working together to safeguard the environment for the betterment of society as a whole.
Students from different schools showcased their talents and creativity through a range of performances, including music, dance, drama, and poetry. Each performance highlighted the theme of collaboration and environmental conservation, reflecting the values of Ubuntu. The participants' enthusiasm and dedication were evident in their captivating performances that resonated with the audience and the venue wore a festive look.
In the spirit of promoting a sense of achievement for every participant, this year too UBUNTU -Season 3 adopted a unique approach where everyone was recognized as winner. At the grand finale, every participating student was awarded a medal for their performance thereby boosting the students' self-esteem and also reinforcing the idea that every effort contributes to collective success. Ms. Shalini Khanna, HM, pre primary, expressed her gratitude to the teachers, students, and all participating schools for their hard work and dedication in making the event a huge success.
