Shakespearean Sparkle: A Timeless Tribute by Young Mayoorians

With this iconic quote as its guiding light, Mayoor School, Noida joyously celebrated Shakespeare Week with a cascade of creativity and literary passion from April 28 to 30, 2024, led by the English Department.
Students of Classes VI to VIII delved into the world of the Bard through a series of imaginative and intellectually engaging activities.
On 28 April, Class VI students brought Shakespeare’s wisdom to life through a Poster Making Activity, producing a colourful array of visuals inspired by his plays, legendary quotes, and celebrated characters. Their artworks blended artistic finesse with a profound appreciation for literature.
The following day, 29 April, saw Class VII students channel their creativity into a Bookmark Making Activity. Each bookmark was a miniature masterpiece—visually poetic and thematically rich—honouring the lyrical brilliance of Shakespeare’s timeless words.
Culminating the week on 30 April, Class VIII participated in an exciting Shakespeare Quiz that tested their knowledge of his life, iconic works, and dramatic themes. The event not only honed their literary acumen but also fostered teamwork and critical thinking.
Principal Mrs. Alka Awasthi commended the efforts of the students and teachers, stating, “Such literary celebrations not only ignite a passion for reading and creativity but also nurture a deeper connection with classical literature.”
Shakespeare Week proved to be a vibrant ode to the Bard’s eternal genius—an inspiring journey that sparked imagination and celebrated the timeless charm of his words in the hearts of young learners.
