Dissolving Barriers and Boundaries through Diversity

It was a remarkable day at Mayoor School, Noida as it successfully hosted its maiden Inter School Commerce and Humanities Fest- ‘Vividhta’ and a solemn initiative to raise awareness for mental health ‘Whispering Wellness’ on October 10, 2023, the World Mental Health Day in the school premises. The exhilarating events witnessed stupendous participation of over 200 students from more than 20 reputed schools from Delhi-NCR. The fests were a celebration of intellect, creativity, and collaboration, aiming to bridge the gap between the realms of Commerce and Humanities, fostering a spirit of interdisciplinary exploration among students. With a blend of academic competitions, cultural performances, and thought-provoking discussions, the fests were a resounding success, bringing together young minds from various schools to engage in a harmonious exchange of ideas and talents.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. Dharendra Kumar, renowned clinical and child psychologist in Delhi-NCR and Director of PsyIndia. In his address, he lauded the school’s efforts and initiative towards the development of a holistic learning environment and providing students a platform to explore their talents. ‘Vividhta’ and ‘Whispering Wellness’ together comprised of 10 challenging competitions testing various skillsets among the students like MindSync Flash, JAM, Illustration of Sustainability, Bout to Knock, Who has the Last Laugh, Canvaspect and The Thought Hub to name a few. Eminent and erudite scholars with expertise in their field adjudged the various events. A Counsellor’s Conclave was also organized for important deliberation encouraging growth and transformation in education.

The fest culminated on a positive note.  In her address, Principal, Ms. Alka Awasthi, appreciated the keen efforts and admirable talent of the contestants and encouraged everyone to aspire for well-rounded education that is the key to a fulfilling and enriching life.
