Empowering Students to Make Healthy Choices
An Anti-Tobacco Workshop was organised to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco, narcotics, and unhealthy lifestyle choices. The workshop featured distinguished speakers: Dr. Shweta Khurana, District Tobacco and Narcotics Control Officer, Gautam Buddh Nagar and Meerut, Mr. Binoy Mathew, Programme Manager, Voluntary Health Association of India, Ms. Akanksha Bangwal, Programme Officer, Voluntary Health Association of India, and Dr. Amit Kumar, District Public Health Expert and District Nodal Officer, Hepatitis Control Programme, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
The resource persons shared invaluable insights into the health risks of substance abuse and the importance of adopting healthier habits, including strategies to reduce junk food consumption. They appreciated the students for their keen awareness and active engagement, awarding certificates to several participants for their contributions.
