Mayoor Students Answer Earth's Call: A Celebration of Sustainability!
“Heaven on Earth is a choice you must make, not a place you must find.”
With a deep commitment to preserving the planet for future generations, Mayoor School students celebrated Earth Day with enthusiasm and purpose. A series of impactful activities were conducted to raise awareness and inspire action. The day began with a powerful "Five-Minute Power-Off," encouraging everyone to pause, reflect on energy conservation, and unite for a healthier planet.
Students then took centre stage in an extempore activity, "Our Power, Our Planet." This dynamic platform allowed them to voice their concerns, share their insights, and advocate for sustainable living, driving home the urgent need to address environmental challenges while safeguarding the needs of future generations.
The school's corridors and classrooms were transformed by students' creativity in the "Restore Our Earth" board decoration activity. Corridor boards burst with colourful posters, impactful slogans, innovative 3D models, and informative displays on pollution, climate change, and eco-friendly habits, all crafted with recycled materials and natural elements. Classroom boards showcased poems, essays, facts, drawings, and even QR codes linking to student-made videos. This activity deepened students’ understanding of environmental issues, instilling a profound sense of responsibility for our planet.
Principal Ms. Alka Awasthi commended the students for their thoughtful participation and urged them to continue striving for innovative and lasting solutions to protect the environment.
These meaningful programmes helped students internalize a powerful truth — that saving our planet is not just an option, but the most important dream we must all work towards.
