Nurturing Nature: Earth Day Celebrations
“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.”
Earth Day celebrations culminated with a vibrant and thought provoking assembly presented by Classes X D & E, highlighting unity and responsibility towards our planet. The event featured a nukkad natak on environmental issues, a pledge to protect Mother Earth, and a book talk by Riddhee Saxena of Class XI-H. In honour of World Book Day (April 23rd), Riddhee shared insights from The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, emphasizing the importance of pursuing one's dreams despite obstacles, while also celebrating the joy and continuity of reading.
Class XII students delivered a compelling rendition of "Big Yellow Taxi," highlighting the rapid environmental changes and the impact of our growing carbon footprint on the future. A key highlight was the plantation drive led by Principal Ms. Alka Awasthi, reinforcing the school’s commitment to sustainability. Vice Principal Ms. Sunita Dahiya encouraged students to take responsibility for the planet and make conscious choices to protect it for future generations.
The event culminated with the prize distribution ceremony followed by a collective pledge to protect and preserve our planet.
