Students Explore Innovation at IFTD Design Gala 2026

 Grade 11 and 12 Fashion Studies students recently embarked on an immersive educational excursion to the New Delhi YMCA for the IFTD Design Gala 2026. This visit served as a vital bridge between theoretical classroom concepts and the high-energy reality of the professional design world. Throughout the event, students were given a front-row seat to the latest trends and technological advancements shaping the future of creative industries.The experience was centered around a series of sophisticated showcases, where students analyzed diverse garment collections that highlighted innovative uses of fabric, colour theory, and pattern construction. Beyond the final products, the exhibition offered a rare glimpse into the creative backend, featuring detailed mood boards and fashion illustrations. These displays allowed students to trace the meticulous journey of a design from its initial conceptual spark to its final professional execution.This exposure proved invaluable for career exploration, opening doors to various pathways within Fashion Design, Interior Design, and Fine Arts. By engaging directly with industry work, students returned with a refreshed perspective and a toolkit of professional techniques to apply to their own projects.
